Boy are we all soooo wrong on our trucks!

Actually they did prove that the net was the best. It alowed air to flow through the bed and it also shaved weight. The worse was tailgate open and on. and in the middle was tailgate closed, and toneau cover. But I think someone needs to test one of our older chevys to see how that works out because they tested it on a newer truck that was designed in a air tunnel to make the truck more efficient on the highway with the tailgate closed. I would be curious to find out what a stock 1986 c10 pickup with a long bed and a 350 sb would do with the same tests ran on it. Im shooting for no tailgate.
I'd be interested to see how the rear seat in a k5 affects it too. Or doorless too for that matter, but there's probably few people outside of us that would be intersted in that. I dont really care about mpg, I'm still sportin the net tailgate tho! :D And am always glad to take an oppourtunity to pic whore

Tailgate nets...ahh yes. But to get the best mileage out of those, you also need at least 2 dozen bullet hole stickers, one of those wing things that JC Whitney sells that goes behind the cab, an 8" body lift, and a windshield banner that either says "GIT 'ER DONE" -or- "CHEVROLET TRUCKS".

:haha: :haha: :D

Gas Mileage?, what's that, my truck don't have that option.

My minivan and car has gas mileage. I have always said and I will again, if you are concern with mileage and driving a truck you should be driving a car.

My remark is:

If I wanted fuel economy I would drive some little YUGO and if I wanted performance I would drive a Lamborghini. :haha: :haha: :haha:

that truck in the first post is pretty bad ass. So what your telling me that by having gotten rid of my Honda for my truck my gas mileage dropped damn I never would have known or guessed thank god someone told me I never noticed (being sarcastic). I honestly don't know anyone who expected great gas mileage out of a truck especially ones like ares

I thought Chevy had the solution to the MPG problem when they started offering the 40 Gal tank.

My truck has got the aerodyanmic stuff...

...of a 4x8 sheet of plywood:D

Aerodynamics... Nothing is more aerodynamic than a brick with a 350 35's and headers with TBI. That thing cuts through air like a dull knife through sheet metal.
