Ok heres the story i hooked up to my buddys trailer which he wired up wrong and the brake controller stopped working. The contoller came on when the emergency lever was pushed over but thats it. I checked all the fuses(under the hood) theyre fine. So i figured my contoller was bad and that maybe it shorted out. Bought another one hooked it all up and the same thing, its like its not senceing me pushing the brake pedal. Is there a fuse i missed? i have the contoller wired to the factory wire harness that plugs in under the dash. My truck is a 01 k2500 duramax any help would be appriciated its getting real frustrating

What brake controller are you using? Check to make sure when the brake is pushed that the signal is making it to the controller. Also make sure the brake lights on your truck light up when the brake is depressed. The brake switch could have been shorted out due to the improperly wired trailer, although most brake controllers have circuitry to protect this.
