My front caliper lines have tapered fittings, the rough country lines have square fittings. Can I swap to a caliper from another square body that uses square fittings?

our trucks have always been flat banjo bolt at the caliper with 2 copper washers 1 per side .

only difference was early way American thread and latter was metric thread .

sounds like you have the wrong lines .

I bought the calipers, and stock hoses new at Autozone. Rough Country says the ones they sent are a fit for my truck, so which place is wrong.

what part # lines did they send ? and part # fr the other stuff. maybe I can figure it out .

and lots and lots of places mix up the 1973-87-91 square body stuff with 88-98 body style in the 88-91 year range . you have to make sure its for r/v like you posted yours being a v20 .

all looks good in pics . but your problem sounds weird ? ?

I don't like anything rough country . super cheep crap for a reason . .

few more bucks but a lot better quality www.offroaddesign.com . I have had there brake hose kit on my k30 for years with no problems . and I live in the rusty salt belt . and my k30 has a plow on it .

Thats what I am gonna do, call ORD in the morning. I have gotten alot from them. My wife ordered the lift as a gift. Atleast she measured my rear springs and got me the 56" ones. Thanks for the help. Now I know JB7 calipers dont use the most popular brake lines.

just a fyi the rough country springs are about the stiffest on the market . . . most say they ride like a dump truck empty !

glad she got you a gift tho and measured 1 time :woot:

She is a pretty heavy old girl. I keep a gas compressor in back, along with alot of tools. I have a heavy front bumper with winch, and I have a crate 6.2 diesel I wanna put in. Yes I know they are not that great, but its one of those things I have made my mind on.
