since I've been gone the last few days with no DSL I've gotten a few things done /forums/images/graemlins/deal.gif
Here's the beginnings of the cargo boxes and tailgate posts
I drilled some holes and welded in some sleeves to those tubes for the tailgate bolts
first part of the tailgate sections
and another
and another one open
the same sleeves are welded into the 2" square tube, the bolts are long enough that with one washer the nut will bottom out on the non-threaded area and allow the tailgate to hinge on the bolt
Added some more diamond plate, in the near future I'm going to cut up and weld in some more plate in the angled side areas
Getting to that point I tried to figureout exactally what I was going to do to replace the rusted out tail light areas since I have some new LED trailer lights.
So I figured I'd cut the azz-end down a little
I used a big c-clamp and taped my paint marker to it to help find my trim lines. It should give me about 1/4" extra that I can trim down if needed but it gives me a baseline to work from.
Once I got evrything cut I used the grinder and cleaned it up a bit and welded in the inners and outers together.
So sometime this week I'm going to make the back and side panels /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif
