Broken 10 bolt

Hey guys I have broken my 10 bolt in my 86 k5. So i have the bright idea to use a 12 bolt that I got off a scraped truck. Everything worked fine til i got to the drive shaft . ;[ the 10 bolt ujoint is bigger. What would you guys do?. Is there a yoke. that i can buy ? do i have a custom driveshaft made.

most guys just swap the yoke from 1 to other axle. same spine count.

just dont over tighten of you will over crush the crush sleave. but best to install new .

Napa sells conversion u joints that have the size of the yoke on one side and the size of the shaft on the other. That's the easiest way I know of.

Oh wow duh huh I didn't think of swapping the yoke. from the 10 bolt. The u joint i think is 3-3130 if all else fails lol thanks guy's

OH well the yoke will fit but the seals are different. just my luck

Seals are cheap, and probably need replacing anyway.

I looked threw books at advance for 2 hours trying to find a seal but no luck . so i got the factory one and u joint # 3-3130

This topic has come up here before and somebody did post the # for the seal, so it does exist. The smaller sized U-joint is really no prize, but I guess you can just worry about the yoke swap/upgrade if you ever break that conversion joint.
