broken axleshaft front..now I done it

At our last mudbog I snapped my lf axleshaft when the tire hit dry ground coming out of the pit.I went to install new shaft had to drive old one out with a sledge.Then when putting new one init would only just start to engage the side gears still needing to go another inch half to 2 inches.The spiders are welded in front for mud runs.Anyone else ever run into this? /forums/images/graemlins/1zhelp.gif

Iv had that problem before,turned out the front end was bent.The drivers side axle tube was no longer going straight into the center housing so when I would try to slide the shaft in it didnt have a straight shot into the splines and wouldnt go in.Pull the carrier from the housing and see if you can put the shaft in it. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
