As I continue to dis-assemble this rotted 72 K5, I continue to find more and more little surprises left by the P. O. {Bubba}. Owing to the fact that Bubba put a huge suspension lift on this ole girl, plus a 3" body lift and a set of 35" tires (the top of the hood is at least 5' off the ground), some things obviously escaped his observation... like the correct routing of the sparkplug wires...
While preparing to remove the distributor, I notice the #5 sparkplug wire was exceptionally taught....

Checking a little closer, I see this:

And I think to myself....No way, no way did he do THAT!
But, Yes he DID!



I just don't understand how this area is not totally covered in oil from the obvious gap in that valve cover gasket....
