Redoing my M1009 to a civilian interior and would like to go a little different way than the stock seats I have. My wife would like seat heat so I want to find a set of bucket seats that would be somewhat easy to retrofit onto the blazer seat slider brackets. I am looking for factory seats that already have the heat in them. I currently own a 07' Canyon pickup and those seats look like they would work as the heat switch is contained in the seat itself. Not sure where the relay is but I can work that out. I want to find a good comfortable seat with the heat switch in the seat so I'm asking does anyone know which types of seats from other trucks, suv's, cars, etc. that my be a somewhat easy install. Power is OK also. The Canyon seats also have a manual lever to adjust the reclining feature and I believe I could attach this to the passenger seat slider release on the blazer seat slider. I am currently considering a pair of seats from a Lincoln Navigator that appear might work also. I am looking for ideas from anyone that has used seats from other brands/types of vehicles with success.
Thanks in advance.

Putting air ride seats in my 1009, you can get any options you want on OTR truck seats.

I think whatever you go with, will involve a fair amount of "work" to make them fit. Make sure you get some that tilt far enough so you can access the back seat...
I think, and this is speculation, that even if you get seats from a newer truck, the BCM only controls the switches and communication to the seat...so if you were able to wire up a switch to a relay then you'd be able to power the heated seats like normal.

I originally put seats a buddy took out of his 97 K1500 into my K5. Not buckets but the 60/40 bench with the fold down arm rest. Bolted in direct other than had to drill two holes on the tunnel. They're fairly comfortable and still in there, have some new seats to go in there now just have to get around to it. For the wiring I just ran a fused line off the ACC to power them.

Now that I'm getting away from GM seats, as herkdriver007 said, it's going to take a fair bit of work to get them in. Had enough other stuff to worry about, I'll get these new ones in soon enough.

Thanks for the info guys and keep it coming. The buckets in my Canyon have a manual recline release and the seat back does come forward a pretty good distance. Not as far as a stock Blazer seat but I believe with the "slide forward" feature of the seat sliders, should be adequate to access the back for passengers. Not sure of the Navigator seats I'm interested in. Those seats are like new and only $300 complete! It they fit enough of the criteria they would be great for my install. Waiting to hear back from the yard that has them on the measurements, recline, etc.

Looks like the folding issue is pretty darn good with those. Just need to add the heat as I don't think it's a standard option for the 2nd row. Not sure how comfortable those seats are either. Will have to find a junk yard with one and take a sit down. Thanks.

Thanks for the link. I have thought about those same seats and will keep them in mind. I am still leaning towards the Canyon or Colorado seats because they don't have the belt in them and I can still use my factory seat belts. Still have to take a look at the Navigator seats.
