Can a 6-71 , with the markings 5138725 pm-4 bohnalite 28-d5

Was wondering if I can rebuild it
If I could use it on a V8 engine?

Can you? yes
you may want to look up through some detroit diesel supply houses and see if they have a rebuild kit for these for starters

a 6-71 will work on a v8 just fine. The intake is not cheap, and you will need the adapter plate to put the carb(s) on top
Sometimes these are called GMC or Roots blowers if that helps your search

Can and should are two very different things to consider - can you tell us about the motor that is going under the blower; as in flow numbers , cam grind details, dynamic compression figures and the rest of the drivetrain?
Things such as stall speed ( if so equipped ) gear ratio v/s tire diameter and intended usage - all of this matters with a blower in play.

Always interested in any serious motor details!

I was thinking of that , found an intake for it , just gotta make an adaptor plate between the intake and blower was thinking, making one out of aluminum, i wonder if I can make one out of just metal

Was the firewall,!! I might have too make a special adapter for the 2 sniper well guess u co

To answer the “can do” question and to expect a quality answer ya gotta give a better picture of what the whole package and intended use is ?
Anything can be made to fit but wether or not that part is a good choice depends on a combination of factors.

What tire size will you be going with - just wondering as it will effect things greatly.

Looking forward to seeing the specs on the motor ?

Is this a show truck only ?
Is it only a street cruiser ?
Is it meant to be taken off road ?
Will it ever be used as a 3/4-Ton truck was intended to be used as ?

A blower restricts a bunch of things as to how the truck is or should be used - bolting a blower on is only the beginning things that must be addressed.
