Budget spare tire and hi-lift mount *pics*

Looks good Avery, just tack weld the nut to the bolts on the cable clamps and they cant be reomoved without making lots of noise

haha yeah sometimes the old brain works ok . good Idea for the Hi-lift mount simple and effective!!

still running the 10-bolt??

Yep still the 10b in the front and a 14ff out back... I've recently put quite a bit of time and money into my front... not any stronger but at least it's in as great a shape as a 10b can be...

I'm buying a Detroit from a guy I go to school with that I'm putting out back so that should help with my traction issues...

You'll like the detroit . You got rid of the 38" mickeys??? with 35" tires that 10-bolt will be fine

Yeah the 38.5 Baja Claws are gone... I picked up some new 35/15.5-15 TSL SX's... hard on the street but supposedly good for the trails. I'll see how I like them and go from there.

I had those in a 38" on my scout did really good offroad .sucked nuts on the street wore out fairly fast

My claws were better on the street than these TSL's but they were worn out and a little too much tire for my drivetrain.

35" tires are great for light wheeling and highway use . so know that your running shorter rubber are you gonna drop it down to like a 4" lift with a zero rate??

That was a pretty good idea with the lift storage I want to find a way to mount mine in my tool box so its not just thrown ontop of everything in there!

just asking cuz I know I HATE my 8" springs

Yeah my 8" Superlift springs are really stiff... The plan is to go 56's out back with a shackle flip and I'm not positive on the front... 52's would be nice but honestly I don't know if I need that much flex for what I do so I might just go with a nice set of 4" lift springs.... again though I'm not sure. I'll do the back and then figure out the front.

I used to have it mounted to the front of my toolbox with Hi-lift's mounting brackets but it pulled pretty hard on the face of the box and it was kind of in the way.
