Building a th-350

coan racing is the **** for buyin hard parts. My boy has over $1000 invested in his th350, had to for the doubler and he's glad he did, only thing hes busted was a TCI hardened input shaft, twisted the splines off the rear output shaft and oh, ripped the very rear of the housing off. :D:D

Thanks for the link man, that will come in very handy:D

By the way Nice carnage :waytogo:

What's everyones opinion on this.....SPECIAL AFTERMARKET PLANETARY 2.70 LOW, 1.52 SECOND?

Is .18 in gear reduction worth 500 bones:confused: Will it make that much differance?

I appreciate all the help!!

not really IMHO

If you are tackling a rebuild of your tranny, you can handle a gear install. For about the same money (gears and install kits) you can re-gear the axles and get a lot more bang for the buck.

That was my thinking also.

I did some tinkering on 4lo.com last night and I think I'll be regearing to 5.13 in the near future. But I'll still run it with 4.10 for a while just to see how it is....Before this build I ran 36's with 3.08 and didn't think it was awfull, it wasn't great either tho.

How did this tranny build turn out? I'm looking at the tci 321115 valve body myself (as well as a full trans rebuild), and wondering what you think of it. I'm pretty sure it's what I want.. just want to hear that it didn't turn into a nightmare for someone else =)

What I really like is that I can rebuild the tranny with good stockish parts, and add the VB later.
