For years I've been working hard on rig after rig be it my DD or my blazer, or someone else ride. I barley take a break to clean up the shop before starting another project and usually bite off more than I can chew and am working till the last minute to go on a ride.

Last year we found out we were adding a new addition (the first) to our family. She is going to be with us in 6 weeks. Ive slowed down on working on rigs and getting stuff done in the shop that I've been meaning to do for sometime. Im sure a few of you saw my fab table project. Wednesday I started building a new welding kart. Ive been putting this task off for years. Been using anything from a dolly to a wagon to a over head projector kart. Everything would last a few months then fall apart. So i built this.

I finally have everything I need, where I need and it turned out really clean IMO. I will update this thread as it goes along. Thanks for watching.

Damn that is bad ass!!!!! Congrats on the baby on they way also!!!!!!!

How did you do your plug box?

Just wondering as I'm gonna do one too.

That turned out great. Any reason why you have the hobart on top of the big miller? Loaded with different wire?

I really really need to do this... my plasma has no home at this point.. sits on a shelf... plus I'd love to get both MIG bottles with the welder and a place to store my spool gun....

I still need to get a spool gun, and another tank, and, and.... It never ends lol

Funny you ask that. The Miller died right at the end of building may cage. I got on Miller welds to diagnosis the problem and never could. Needing a welder I went to TSC and bought the Hobart. Great welder btw. 2 weeks ago I was cleaning up and decided to drop the Miller of for repair. 180 bucks later now I have a 200 amp Miller with 60% duty cycle along with my 180 amp Hobart. They will pelrobably be loses with different wire are well. I picked that Miller up a few years back with the small bottle for 300 bucks. It was my first "real" welder.

Simple. I like simple.

Thanks man I got some minor redesigning to do on my welding cart. When I do that I'm gonna build the plug box.

I only have to do 2 though. Just one welder and my plasma

Started a new project tonight. I had the axle stand before holding my notcher, but now that all on my fab table. Anyone want to take a stab at what it is? Im sure there is going to be some scratching their heads.

I thought I posted this, I guess I didn't. Home brew air dryer.

Excuse the hack in places here I wanted to make sure it works before hard piping stuff or mounting stuff permanently. I saw this one time before, this is not my design but I figured id try it out before dropping coin on a refrigerated air dryer or a large descendant dryer.

I have about 125 bucks in this mostly due to fittings and pipe (nipples :D). I bought the condensor for 25 bucks, the tank was 10 bucks at a yard sale and the rest is in fittings. I welded a bung in the top of the tank (ball valve was already in the bottom) and a bung in the side.

THE WAY IT WORKS

The head side runs out and instead of running into the tank, it runs into the condensor. Then exits the condenser into a check valve then into the small blue tank. The small blue tank collects the water. Air comes back out towards the top and back into the large black tank. It seems to work though its not very humid today. I took some pics to show you guys how it works.

Here is the setup, pardon the mess

And finally back home in the black tank

I also have a drain in the black tank and am thinking of putting a drop coming out of the black tank before entering the shop. Will it work as good as a refregeriated dryer, probably not, but hopefully it will breath some new life in the runner months to my plasma cutter. Any questions?
