Ok so I put a all spring 4" lift on my 87 k5. Everything in the front end was replaced and drove on for around a 1000 miles before the lift was put on. From the steering box to the bearing she drove great. Now I have evil bumpsteer. It was never this bad with my old k5 on 38's and 8" springs. Any ideas ? Where should I measure for my castor ? What should the sping bolts be torqued to ?

I doubt a 4" spring lift would ever change caster angle enough to give you a severe difference in road/steering feel.

Did you install a dropped pitman arm? What is your steering effort at standstill like before and after?

Before it was nice and tight and now it's feels alittle lose but everything is tight. Plus before the po tighted everything so that nothing moved in the suspension. He had installed all new bushings when the k5 was stock.

And what about the pitman arm? Does it have a new one on there or is it stock? That could be your problem. I couldn't see attached pictures anyway. You would have to load them from photobucket or something.
