I got a 79 blazer 4 inch tuff country lift with the steering arm, also i put on the dual stabilizer kit and i still have bump steer. Is that normal?..all my friends have lifted chevy trucks and they don't have the problem. Both blazers i have had have done it. Just wondering if there was something i overlooked when installing?...help please!

with a 4" lift you need a drop steering arm instead of the raised steering arm, the drag link needs to be parallel with the spring.

steering stabilizers do nothing for bumpsteer
bumpsteer is a geometry problem

so what i am gathering is that the stock steering arm on the axle should be there, but there should be a drop pitman arm?, its not necessisarily bad, just rather annoying

This seems to work the best with a 4" lift.

Check the alignment, with a lift and bigger tires it can really affect bump steer. Also check for wear in the steering components, steering box, ball joints, etc. If any or all of these are worn bump steer can become a major problem.

well everything is really tight on it, and it only has 33's on it, and the lift has only been on for about 2,000 miles, didn't do it to begin with but started when the lift was put on. I am selling the blazer and I am trying to get things fixed the way I feel it should be when it will be sold.
