Bumper center

Kert, you didn't. Is a bone stock A Bomb! No body lift built into it. If there was, I think I would have to do some :hack:

I must have misread one of your posts above. Yep, you're right about that...:hack:

i have an a-bomb, but haven't got to use it yet :dunno:

That's a good lookin' rig. Get out there and use it!! Thanks for posting the pictures.

Interested in an a-bomb, got the b52 kit now and use it in the further forward position on the frame, and the a-bomb looks like it mounts an inch back on the frame from where I'd like it. I want to keep the springs in the same position. Can you build one that mounts further forward? Not sure what all would have to be changed to keep the same approach angle.

Trying to think how I'd do that.

The entire lower face of the bumper would change. Either in angle or length, perhaps both.

Do you have the spring eye all the way forward?

Yep the spring is in the forward most hole, trying to keep the tire out of the firewall as much as possible. Maybe just the hanger could just be moved forward 1"? Wouldn't mind if the angle changed, still want it in close as possible to the grille though.

Have you thought about using his EZ Inch blocks? I used them to relocated both the front and rear ends of my truck. W/ a total of 5" spring lift, including the block, I have almost no fender trimming to do on the back of the front fenders w/ 38" tires. The EZ Inch locates your axle 1.5" forward. ;)

I don't want another inch of lift and was hoping the bumper could be built so I could keep my existing setup. But if it can't reasonably be accomplished I'll make do.

he has made the a-bom with the winch mount/ bumper center / and b52 kit all in one. then you can sell your b52 kit as someone will scarf it right up .

What winch?

Kert built me a bumper center for a Warn 8274 that puts it in the grille and about 1" off of the core support. I've got B52's also, there's about a 1/2" gap between the two with the B52's mounted in the rearward position. there's enough excess material on the bumper center that I could still trim it and move the B52's to the forward position.

M12000, but I've got a 8274 i'm going to rebuild and run later on. I think I'll probably just keep it simple and get the regular a-bomb and run an ez-inch.

That would probably be fine as well I was just wanting it as tight to the grille as possible.

It's all doable. Give me a call at the shop sometime. We can discuss all the options and figure out what will suit you best.

Thanks to all for pitchin' in some ideas. Always appreciated!

Went ahead and ordered the basic a-bomb a week or so ago, think I'll be fine running it and if not I have a couple different spring packs I can swap around.
