Bumper Guard question

So, I'm looking to add bumper guards to my 91 Blazer (has impact strips in bumper). Do you have to cut/remove the impact strip so the guard can fit flush on the bumper?

Oh, I'm looking for a set in case anyone wants to part with them.

I'll include photos of my Blazer and K20 (which has no strip but does have guards) to help show what I'm talking about.

LMC shows them going over the impact strip, so the guard has a cut out for it.

I'm pretty sure the impact strip covers the upper bumper bolt. I don't think your going to get away with drilling a hole in the strip to pass the stud on the guard through , while mounting the guards over the strip.

Could be wrong though.
