They are inboarded like we did on pirate in 2005. Sounds good doesn’t work.View attachment 462888

This really isn’t what I wanted to read because I’m this >< close to installing an old MOO crossmember in my Blazer. I wasn’t going with as much angle as yours but inboard nonetheless.

I always figured the complaints of lack of control with inboarded shocks could be overcome with a traction bar but you have both and still have bad wheel hop?

I don’t think I have a lot of travel there but I was probably just gonna lean em back on both sides like the oem mounting is on the driver side. Just not as leaned I guess? Have never actually measured travel.

The Jana 76 kit to put 70 gears in a 60 housing is done now. This with a load bolt should be the end of my gear failures for quite some time. I wasn’t about to put a THIRD set of 60 gears in. I did lose the Detroit in favor of a spool but turning radius does suck pretty bad now.

Full hydro was done finally and I can say I should have done that even when it was on smaller tires. It’s just the best way for a dedicated wheeler to go. Assist is ok but I definitely see the drawbacks now that I have driven both.

Tmr customs arms with the knuckle tie in bolt to calm my nerves about breaking a knuckle. Also felt like it was time to go bronze kingpin bushings. Radial dynamics put together my “kit” and I can say that their service was far superior to psc and I can’t suggest their help enough.

New Yukon super joints and the some 4340 g2 shafts.
I fixed a TON of crap on this thing and it did really well.

I only ended up with a bent set of front springs. Both sides in opposite direction. Leans like a cholo.
Another nice build thread!

A request for the next time you have your front diff cover off - could you take note of , or comment on, the contact of the thrust/deflection bolt on the Jana76 set up?
I’m curious if you find that it is heavily rubbed or minimally - I wish we would have done this on John’s front end but sadly we did not.

My tires rub everything so I’m not sure where they are gonna go.
