this is my current spring setup which i have basically settled on and have kept as is for a few years now.
47" procomp 6" front springs straight out of the box. DIY4X shackle hangers with the hanger moved forward about one bolt hole. The forward upper bolt hole remained the same. Then i have some 6" ish shackles. They are actually superduty carrier bearing shims that i dual drilled to try out a couple differnt setups. longer seemed better. but i now have bent shackles. tires do rub the steering box this forward but not much else.

these tuff country springs flattened out in no time. they are however EZ rides under a big block. misapplication i suppose.

My slider step is one I asked diy4x to make for me. I eventually welded it to the cage.

wow looks good..

so 6" lift, lots of cutting and 47's?

oh yeah and more info on the square d-shaft up front?

47” long springs, not tires

ooooh... hah...

I'm contemplating 39.5 boggers or 42" tsl/sx so this thread was interesting to hear from small to bigger then deemed not as fun to drive to lowered with bigger tires and then perfect... so I like keeping low COG as well..

I like those front spring hangers too... thinking of getting some, 52 springs for front and shackle flip for rear

yeah I'm not on much... just need to figure out what size 52's as I currently have 6" front springs... want to go 8"

2"-2.5" lift 52's w/ Zero Rate and a 1" body lift will make 8" of lift, that's what I run. (see sig for build thread)

I cant do zero rates up front.. I am not going to argue with yall.. I agree... but inspection didn't and no matter my argument... said.. If you keep arguing with me I wont let you drive it home and it will need to be flatbed out... I said NO FRONT BLOCKS.. and I mean it.. ughhhhhhh so sold them, shipped them and package got ripped and had to credit ck5 member.. so zero rates hell for me.. LOL

but thanks.. so your saying a 2-2.5" rear 52 lift spring w/zero rate and 1" bl... so go 4" rear 52" lift spring to get same... hmmmm

I absolutely love this rig. One of my favorites on here. As said before my goals are somewhere close to what you have done.

I have all the stuff for the 52 swap up front, but seeing your truck work on the 47's keeps me second guessing myself.

Keep up the awesomeness, and keep posting pictures. It keeps me motivated.

It was skyjacker brand. All the pictures on the 39 boggers and 42 iroks were those 52s.

42 tsl were tuff country ez rides.

I totally agree.

My 52's will last me forever sitting in the shop BUT if I ever do damage them I'll be going back to 47's. Trucks like this prove you don't need crazy (w/ odd road manners) to do cool stuff. Some of these pics really make me want 39" Boggers. :pimp:
