Burb chop down.

looking good. I wish I could cut straight lines like you. Hell, I can barely draw a straight line with a ruler.

Quite honestly guys, I was scared to death when i saw what I did... but it is actually coming together.

And the lines just kinda happened themselves.... I can cut straight, but I didn't intend on the top of the inner fender to line up with the crease on the body....

Hey jay, what did the girlfreind think of it??

:D :D

For the longest time she didn't even know what she was looking at! lol :D

Then she looked at me with concern, and with a hand on my arm, slowly asked, "are you ok?" LOL!

HAHAHA:haha: :haha: :haha:

Yeah man, that's rich!! hahaha.

Well saturday, and sunday are going to be "finish the driverside" days. I am going to weld up the rockers, and put the front end back together again. Or atleast get as far into that as possible. I'll post some pitures on sunday.

I won't get into much detail though, because those things are not really part of this project... But I will post pictures because I will extatic to ditch the tarp covering the engine, in favor for the hood...

But I will keep everyone posted on any, and all progress on the rear bit I did.

Well this has nothing to do with the rear of the truck. But this mod definately improves the look, hahaha.

I finally got the front end together... And it's about bloody time too.

Can anybody say sexy?? Because I can.

Sexy...

Rolls of the tongue pretty good.

Hey thanks fellas!!

Jay I hope you like what you see so far, and I found a few guys that we can go wheeling with too.

One guy has an F-250 (blah, I know I know, but he has a fullsize)

Another dude has a K5 (YEAH!! hahaha), but he seems to not want to wheel his truck anymore, but he has buddies to wheel with aswell.

And I just met this other dude who owns an 87' Land Cruiser, and takes it wheeling all the time. And his brother owns a yota' with the SAS going, and he wheels that thing all the time too. Plus some dude in that parking lot owns a K30 pick-up and I think that may be taken out aswell.

And I have a buddy who owns a CJ-5 (or something like that), and he has 35's or 33's, and he wants to wheel that thing on some light trails.

So we may have a good posse to go wheeling with. A good variety... hahaha:haha: :haha: :haha:

What I would've really wanted to do, was get a rear sub door that had the roll down window....

That way you could just roll down the window, and get that full on wind in your hair kinda feeling.
It looks like the location of the wheel wells would force you to shorten the window tracks and the back window wouldn't roll down very far anyway.

very very cool! I really like what you've done so far. I will be keeping my eye on this. Did you figure out what to do with the gas filler neck?

This is what I did with mine:

cut down the rubber hose a little and made this brace for it. two bolts into the frame and one bolt through the flange on the neck. Its really sturdy now

muddermilitia, How far past the fram does your gas filler neck go??

I was thinking of cutting down the metal tubes, and joining them together again.

But I would only cut down the srtaight section, not the angled part.

If cutting down the rubber hose gives me enough space, I may just got the way you did. It's clean enough for me, and all i need to do is support the sucker...

Oh yeah, and how good are those TrXus tires(are those the tires)??

I want to start pricing out some new tires before the ones I own wear out... I know Jay owns a set, so tell me how you like them too man.

Blue85, Yeah I was thinking about that too. I did have to trim the bottom of the doors....

I think it would be alot of work to get a window to roll down successfully. Even a half roll down would be difficult...

I don't think doing the rool down window would be worth it, unless my truck were to be a mall crawler/show vehicle... And to put it quite frankly, I could not see myself owning a truck I would keep clean...

This is the best pic I have:

You can see that it still sticks out past the frame a fair amount. I could still cut some more hose but I just didnt want to cut too much off the 1st time.

I think as long as it doesnt stick out past the outside of the tire, you should be fine.

As for the trxus mts. I loved them, never let me down. I sold them awhile back, cause Im stepping up to 38.5s The 38.5 trxus mts cost too much so Im going with boggers this time around (boggers are about $50 or 60 less per tire), otherwise I would have gotten the trxus m/ts again.

thanks man.

I am looking to go to 38.5's aswell... But I want more street freindly tire... Maybe i will just stick with the good old super swampers, only in 38.5's

Oh dont get me wrong, the trxus mts were very good on the street. Just ask BIGBLAZE hes got a set now and he drives his rig daily, I think. Im eaither gonna run 38.5 boggers all around but grooved of course or run boggers out back and swampers in the front. Just havnt decided and Im a long way away from making a decision

hahaha, alright man, thanks for all your helpfull input.

I am going to take a look at the gas filler neck in the morning. I think cutting the rubber hose is the best way as you have stated.
