Hello all, how difficult is it to replace upper and lower ball joints? This is on a 1991 4X4.I have a Haynes manual but the detail is lacking.

depends on your tool set.

do you have :

jack
jack stands
roter nut removal tool?
ball joint wrench
bfh?
and some space if so no to to bad.




need it on jack stands, pull wheel, caliper. spindle, axle.
then remove your nuts and pull the knuckle.

press (bfh) out the joints and press in your new ones

I have everything but the press, which a friend has.

your good to go then . pretty strait forward....just use some comon sence as to which way they should be presed out.
