bushing help

I have an 82 fullsize that i have been fixing up. I built some bumpers for it and dropped in a low milage 350. One of the last things that i'm gonna do to it for a while is put new bushings on the front leaf springs and sway bar. After cutting, heating, and hammering i finally got the old bushings out. Do you guys have any advise on getting the new ones in? Particularly the ones on the fixed hangers on front with metal sleeves. They just won't go in!! /forums/images/graemlins/1zhelp.gif

Coat the outside of the bushing with a little light chassis grease, and use a C-clamp to press them in...

ive had good luck running a file or die grinder in the spring eye to clean up the surface of rust.
