Bushwacker cutouts ,

A little late to the party but years ago I knew of a guy with an Early Bronco that coated his in some kind of bedliner and filled the interior of them with a rubber expanding foam. Not the cheap crap that you can get for $5 but some more expensive stuff. Said it helped them retain their shape and not break so easily. He rock crawled so it seemed to work.

Hadn't thought of the foam , but They will be bedlinered

I actually like the "look" of the Bushwacker flares. Just wish they were steel. It makes a truck look more rugged I guess. But the fact they are plastic and like Eric amsaid can't touch a thing or they will break. I always wanted to fab up some steel ones. Of course you add width to a already wise truck for trails. But if its more a street truck and mild wheeler, go for it.

When I was a teenager in the early to mid 90s a lot of mud trucks that I saw ran them. Always had a soft spot for them.

Me too, you grew up in Michigan right? I grew up in Minnesota .

I think rust removal might have been part of the reason guys ran them haha.

Yep. Middleville, MI.

You knew the serious guys had shown up when the trucks with TSL’s or Boggers and cut outs came in.

They were popular when I was a kid and always liked them back in the day. Still don't think they look bad if you had a square body that was decent looking and had bigger tires.
