im gonna get some BF Goodrich Mud Terrain TA KM2 and i wanted to know where the best place was to buy them

online? if so which website.

in store? i know it depends on area but what tire store

Find the best price and go with it.

I've bought tires off of eBay and locally and basically it just comes down to the deal you can get. Remember if you buy them online you have to figure in mounting and balancing.
 
if you can get a paper quote faxed to you, alot of times your local store will match the price to get your business. or if you do find them cheaper somewhere, alot of places advertise they will match the price of identical products, to get your business..so shop around!

I always buy mine at TIRERACK.COM they always are the cheapest.
I have my tire mounting machine so it makes sense to me.

If you know someone there and are sure of the product and service you will receive than it's no different than anyone else. If you're just buying online or walking in off the street...just do a search and you'll read all the stories relating to trouble some of us have had with them. I had trouble with them many years ago in the El Cajon, CA store not related to tires. A guy I used to know bought ordered tires from them and a completely wrong set of tires and wheels showed up. Not even the right lug nut pattern on the wheels. He complained and they acted like it was exactly what he had ordered. Finally managed to get them to take them back at their expense and they sent him the correct tires...with no wheels...even though they charged him for tires mounted and balanced on wheels. They sent the wheels out and then tried to screw him out of refunding the mounting and balancing fees.

That said I knew a guy who worked there a while back and he treated me great the one deal I did with him. Doesn't work there now unfortunately.

Ive order many sets from tire rack, they are the cheapest. The shipping has always been cheap, and has always been fast. Maybe its where I live but when I order from them I get them in 2-3days.

I have used tire rack also and have nothing but good stuff to say about them. I have also used Discount Tire Direct, they were great also, had my tires in 2 business days and IIRC they dont charge shipping (that may have changed). I have access to a tire machine and balancer at the dealer I used to work for so ordering tires makes sense for me.
 
Print out a quote from one of the online companies including shipping (tirerack.com, for instance) and bring it your local chain tire store (Big O, Discount Tire, etc.). They'll match the price and you'll have your tires sooner (and with a local warranty, if you purchase that).

No tax for one..

What I am going to do is what Chris suggested, except I'll just cross the river.. If I can get my KM2's for the same price..

However I am going to order my wheels at 4wheelparts.. a wheel is a wheel is a wheel. Can't beat $40.99 for new 16x8 black steelies.
 
best way i found is to know someone that has a hook up at a whole saler. im also looking for a set of km2's and have went to tirerack and that other site that was posted and im getting them way cheaper
 
I've bought tires from www.tirerack.com and they were the cheapest and no sales tax. I checked around locally and it would have cost me $100.00 more to buy locally. I like others have access to a tire machine and wheel balancer so i do that myself.

Eh...I used to say that...then I got two brand new out of round 16x7 black steelies from Discount Tire once. They swore up and down it was the tires but by the time I had figured out the wheels were the issue their warranty was up and I was a long way from the original Discount. The local one up here sucks ass.

When buying steel wheels I like to stick with the big names like Stockton, American Racing, Cragar, etc.

The 16x7's I got were either Ultras or US Wheels. They sucked.
 
I would give Big O a try on that tire. Seems about the cheapest. I know that they are cheaper up here at the Big O in Frisco than they are down on the front range (by $50+/tire in some cases). I'd at least check a couple of their stores....
 
i printed out a receipt and an add from the computer and took it to a close tire store and got km2s 37 12.50-17... cheap.....295 with 6% sales tax here....they hammered anyone elses price and when they came in i had their receipt, the boss was mad he snapped and said we didnt make a dime on them.....thats what i heard in the background....i picked em up and ran..lol
 
i looked on a few other websites, and the cheapest i have found is $873, to my door step so im gonna try tire rack and also on monday call local
