Decided on a Stage 2 Quadrajet. But from who? Cliffs, Jet, SMI? Read only good about all three. All cost about the same. Any opinions?:dunno:

While I have not ordered a carb from any of these guys I have talked to the guys at SMI and they were knowledgeable about the product, I asked a couple technical questions and they were answered very well

I ordered from Jet, because I couldn't get in touch to talk with anyone at SMI....So far I'm happy with my stg 3 Jet, but its still in the shop too!

I sent my quadrajet to jet and had them rebuild it. Works great and was cheaper than buying one out the door.

Thanks for the input. Ordered Jet carb through Summit Racing ($50 less than from Jet themselves.) Should be recieving today and installing with a new Edelbrock performer manifold this weekend. Installed Hooker comp headers and dual 50 series Flowmasters a couple of weeks ago. Hopefully this combination should get me out of the single digit MPGs.

P.S. Cliffs, no answer. SMI, 3 weeks for delivery

Jet and Sean Murphy Induction [SMI] are right down the street from each other. Sean use to work at JET.
Sean did my carb and is highly recommened around here.

Not questioning SMI's or Cliff's expertise, in fact, in my original post I stated I had read only good reviews about all three. However SMI had a 3 week turnaround and I didn't want to wait that long. (I'm an Impatient sort)
