im wanting to replace my stock heads with some after market ones, and i look at edlebrock and see them wanting 1300 for a pair of alum heads and thats just a little more than i want to spend

but then i find these http://shop.ebay.com/?_from=R40&_tr...l+block+chevy+heads&_sacat=See-All-Categories

pairs of heads complete for around 500 to 700 and alum heads.

now anybody know if they are a good buy or do you get what you pay for.

wrong link its only to search not specific heads.

and the guys were saying around here few months ago stay away from these cheep aluminum heads . big problems found showing up. search here a little bit and it should come up.

Vortec heads would be better than those LT1 heads. If you were contemplating those Edelbrock's at that price, buy a set of Vortecs with a matching intake manifold.

I've been hearing more and more talk of these new aluminum heads as direct competition to edelbrock. and cheaper and better performing.

I'm weighing on a set for my BBC. for $1400 assembled have to consider it at least with a pair of 781s need rebuild and porting....... you'd be into if for some money there.
