Hello Everyone,

My first post here, would like to ask your opinion regarding 1977 K5 Blazer Cheyenne 5.7L 350, thinking to buy it - have a doubt whether the engine is from the same model.

- Engine
Seller replaced the engine two months ago, but didn't provide any proof that the engine is from the same K5 model. So I'm not sure if it's worth buying this one if unless the engine is from the same K5 generation. Can you take a look ?

Engine, gearbox, drivetrain leak oil a lot - guess it's expected for 45yo car, for sure full maintenance needed to fix all this. (don't know if it's too much)

- Bodywork
in overall good condition (no rust under the carpets inside, outside only minor rust except the doors where there is rust at the bottom + hole). Seller says the car was repainted 6 years ago

- Suspension
There is rust but rather superficial - I've slammed it a bit with a rubber hammer and nothing cracked. For sure it needs to be sanded, painted for anti-corrosion. And rubber elements on which the cab rests are worn and need to be replaced.

- Interior
seems complete, didn't spot water leaks. normal usage for 77

Looking forward to getting one of these, just want to ensure I've done my homework.
(the car is from Europe distribution, only driven in Europe)

Many thanks.

Well the engine is a small block Chevy which was available in every year that these blazers were made. The heads look to be a pre 1987.
What's a Blazer going for in Europe these days?

Where is this thing? I don't have an issue looking it over if it's somewhere I can drive to, if you'd like.

You can message me direct if you don't want to disclose where publicly.

I don't know the ask price, or what a K5 sells for in Europe, but that rig is super clean. I would try to chase down that minor oil leak, tidy up the spark plug wires, re-torque all the header bolts, change the fluids, and look at getting the exhaust to exit at the rear or rear corner. The lift is very basic stuff, I'm guessing Rancho based on it having Rancho shocks. Expect this K5 to ride somewhat rough. Spare tire is missing, just to point out the obvious.

Overall I'd be tickled if that was parked in my driveway! :waytogo:
