bypassing black out lights question

i was thinking that there should be one wire that the blackout switch cuts off when you turn the black out lights on. so is there only one wire that would go to the lights switch normally? or are there a few?

i am thinking about just cutting the blackout swicth out of the loop and running the lights from the switch like normal. in theory it should work lol anyone have any experience in this? or lend some useful knowledge to me?
