C10 traction aid-EDIT: Lockright??

Just do it, it's not as fragile as everyone makes it out to be. The drag race world would tell you that you're worried over nothing on that rear end with the hp and traction you have. With rock crawling, 12 bolts aren't super stout but on the street with a stockish size tire, don't worry about it.

Better to have your rig in usable condition and have fun with it than let it rot away in the garage trying to have the "best of everything"

My .02

Exactly, never get why people trash talk the 12 bolt so often.

Because with a large (37 inch and up) tire the leverage on forces are very rough on rear ends so only the strong survive in the ck5 world, BUT good grief I have had some high hp big blocks in front of 12 bolts and they were more than up to the task, :waytogo: the tires "break" traction way before the carrier does. Even with cheaters.
thats why we said "pics!" and "what is the intended use?"
In fact I have had some "stout" street cars with corp 10 bolts running for many miles. IMHO
