Nor Cal Offroad (norcalbigdawgs.net) will be having our 10th annual BLAZERFEST again this year at hollister hills. Dates are reserved for area 5 campground, july 17,18,19.

If you live in california this is a great excuse to come out and meet some fellow wheelers and test out your vehicle on all the different levels of terrain hollister hills has to offer...

You can get to the area 5 campground with pretty much any vehicle, and you can cruise around the 4x4 park with any stock 4x4.
We usually have a poker run saturday morning. It is a good challange for any 4x4 and usually tests driver/spotter ability more-so than your rig.
If you want to do some hardcore runs or just watch the hardcore guys, we usually do Tank Trap on Saturday afternoon.
There will likely be a catered BBQ dinner on Saturday night, as well as a raffle with lots of good prizes.

Here is a link to Nor Cal Offroad's Blazerfest Forum.
Please register and post up if you would like to attend this year.

Will be towing the K5 up Friday with two FJ40's and another Buddies K5. Good times.

To add, I went the last 2 years without a rig and still had a good time getting rides from people I just met that day. So, you still can come and enjoy the day with a great Sat. night BBQ and raffle.

yea i wont have a wheeler just my 2wd Tacoma.. il bum a ride off someone though.

really? sweet il look for you.
PS my pic is of me on the tank trap at hollister hills

i wanna go back there so bad, i went there with my gf's dad (he lives in nipomo) it didnt even click in my head that theres some serious wheeling and TTC was held there, i was too busy riding. have fun!;)

Any vehicle safety requirements? I do not have an e-brake and have read other Club events that require that. Didn't see anything on the site.

no no nothing like that. they don't check you for anything when you come in and even if they did most of the guys there i wheel with and they don't care. i wheeled it with no doors, no rear brakes, no windshield, no shocks, once i even forgot my rear bumper with my license plate.. you'll be fine

Don't get him wrong. The club has always looked out for safety. Most clubs run those checks to make sure your rig is equiped enough to not slow a whole bunch of people down on one trail in the event of a break down.
It's only a short limp back to camp for Hollister.:D
This meet is to encourage those that don't know what they have to come and test it all out. So, next year you come back bigger and badder then the previous.
The rangers might not like the whole vanishing plates act though.

o sorry i don't know anything about your clubs rules im just talking about HH rules and what they do enforce. the only thing the really enforce is speed.

Our club and also Hollister Hills DOES NOT TOLERATE DRINKING AND DRIVING. You will get removed ASAP if you are seen doing so. Hollister Hills is public land and ALL vehicle laws apply even while in the OHV park. You can and will be charged with a DUI if you are caught drinking and driving AND our club will not be allowed to return for any further events EVER.

One other thing, we need to leave the park as clean or cleaner than when we arrived (preferably cleaner)

While Hollister Hills is a state OHV area,if you are there attending Blazerfest you are our responsibility. If ya do somethin silly and a ranger sees it,he comes looking for Dan or one of the BODs to address it if its minor. But we sort of police our selves so there have not been many issues over the years.

Blazerfest is a great place to get together, make new friends, and do a little wheelin no matter what level you are at.

We dont have any safety requirements for this event but just use common sence. We are all there to have fun but it aint a free for all :D

Dont bring anything crazy unsafe. We dont want you killing yourself or anyone else.

Fire extinguishers are good :thumb: Just ask anyone who has had a vehicle fire at Blazerfest :haha:

Your vehicle must be registered or green stickered.

No wheeling after dark.

And as Scott said absolutely no drinking and driving :thumb:

Little over a month to go :woot:

its cool if i just go to meet sum of you guys right? im not really into the whole "club" thing. just way to organized for me. im kinda a go where i want when i want kind of guy. i can get in just like any other day of the week right? your club hasnt rented the entire place out have they?
