CA guys! Blazerfest 10- Hollister Hills, CA July 17,18,19... BE THERE!

If you dont want poison oak the best possible advise I can give is do not touch any of the vegetation at HH :D

On the trail pay attention as you are driving.You see a bush commin,bring your arms in and lean in as far as ya can so it dont whip in and git on ya :D

Dont touch the outside of any of the trucks that have been on the trail and do not pet any dogs.The poison oak oils transfer to vehicles and animals as well as if ya got it right off the bush :D

At least this has worked for me (so far) :D

Thats funny. We usually see lots of guys on tractors around hear on their spray rigs misting pesticides.

Don't forget the masks.:D

Ugh, as someone who is extremely allergic to poison oak, I would rather drive my k5 through tank trap with no tires than get even a little bit of that stuff on me. I'm not even kidding!

I've already got several different home remedies from the supermarket tucked away in my pack. I'll just do my best and see what happens.

I can't afford to be out of work for two weeks while it heals up (which is what it always ends up being) so it's a pretty serious thing for me.
 
i get poison oak pretty bad, ill help you steer clear. I don't want it either.

A couple of my friends had to jump into a large patch a couple years back to help someone as a result of that person night wheeling under the influence. They both had it EVERYWHERE. Andrew went to the Dr. and got prednisone and it really helped he said.

Not sure if you've tried it, but should you get it, might be worth talking to your Dr. about.
 
I know what it looks like and have even gotten it it pretty bad from just being near the stuff. I guess I'm just a sensitive guy. :D

I'll take my chances though for an opportunity to wheel up there.

little late to register but if I just showed up fri night with money will that work? Also since I have my pickup torn apart for the Moab trip the only 4wheel I have for the family would be my jeep. Hope to see ya there.
 
the tank trap has some of the thickest poison oak ever. on TTC the guys were crawling in it not even knowing what it was. i hate the stuff.

Well thanks for trying to make me feel better:p:

If you look at my tracks, I actually hit it about a foot to the right. That pic was after Andrew got out and I'd been hammering in reverse to go back up but only slipping further off towards tippage.

Thanks again for the pull, I'm going to try to avoid it this year:D
