The brake, I do wish I didn’t worry about making as wide as I did. Most things I’ve bent have been no more than 24” wide. The wheels, I’ve never really looked that close at them. I’ll probably to the 20” custom rally wheels.
Hadn’t made much progress till this past weekend. Got the body off the frame and on the rotisserie. Been wire wheeling the bottom and debating on sand blasting or keep wire wheeling. That sand just gets everywhere. I feel there are some tight areas where it would probably be pretty nice.
Ok, I’ve been slack working on the blazer. I’m back at it slowly. 73 didn’t have a factory roll bar. So I’ve made up mounts and welded them up under the bed. I’ve blasted the bottom, mostly, till my compressor gave up. So I’m waiting on a new one.
Went to truck Carlisle over the weekend and picked up a few things. i feel like I stole these headlight bezels. I was looking for just an old 73-74 grille for some wall art. Guy had one I was looking at and offered the bezels and the grill for $75. Brought them home cleaned them up. They’re better than any I’ve seen on the east coast for sure. Everything here is pitted up pretty bad. Still got a little more work to do on them
Back in August I finally caught up with a guy who had a Jimmy that he bought new in 74. The top had been removed in late 70’s never to be reinstalled. Garage kept since then. The rest of jimmy was chopped up in saved in 82. So I picked up a ton of stuff for my blazer. Had to basically clean his garage out to get to it.
