i am still deployed and my wife was driving my k5 today and said the the right side felt like it was braking when she did 20 mph and under.
i am thinking maybe the caliper on that side is shot or i broke it replacing the brakes on it while i was home on r and r
i was seeing if any of yall have had is problem

I'm sure it comes up from time to time. So she said it pulled to the right at low speed or does it pull while slowing or pulls while stopping?

Pull the caliper off and spin wheel. If it's still bad, it's the bearings. If it's good, then it's the caliper or bushings/pins that allow it to slide.

she said while slow to a stop... so i am guess while under pressure.
she is taking it to friend of mine. i am also wondering if its just the rotors are whorped.

Either a seized caliper on the left, or gummy caliper slide bolts on the left. Loaded calipers are cheap, if the brakes haven't been done in a while it might be worth replacing them.

Warped (whorped...:haha:) rotors cause a pulsing in the pedal under moderate braking.

maybe, but you'd get a pulse in the pedal or jerking as it stops. But if things are being taken apart, it's too easy and cheap to pass up a quick turn of some rotors. Maybe some new bushings and pins too.

I'm using Google chrome, and default setting has spell check built in.

"Whorped" tickled my funny bone though.

yea cant typed today, yes in sept. i replaced the rotors and brake pads.
i will get her to pick up some new bushings and pins and just to be on the safe side have the rotors turned.
i have been talking to her and she said its not just the right it both side and i asked well is it like a shaking or pulling? she said pulling.
but i am going to have my buddy pull it apart for me and see whats going on and if i messed something up when i changed them........

I usually coat the slider bolts with a bit of moly grease on re-assembly. Seems to last a good long time. Might be worth pulling the slider bolts out, clean, lube and re-assemble then test drive.

I meant to say this initially...Thanks for your service!

your welcome, we are almost done now under 2 weeks and i will be home.
yea i am going to take it all apart again once i get home and grease everything back up.
just trying to get it road worthy again for her to keep driving around. would cold weather have anything to do with acting up?

i sat here all night thinking about what it could be till it came up in my head.
while i was home on r and r i was just going through regular maint. till i got to the brake reservoir and it was low, not thinking about i just put more in and called it a day.

so i called my wife and told her to go check it and sure as ***t it was empty, so i had her fill it up and i guess now i have a leak somwhere that i need to find
