What lift do you have and what tires and how does it ride compared to the old stock ride? also please specify blocks or springs in rear. and if you have an ez ride type spring or an HD spring.... Also for the guru's if i have slight rub in 35's with 4" then maybe an ORD 1" block will still fit?

I have a 1979 Blazer with a 4" Rough Country lift(block in the rear). and I think it rides better than the stock front springs(they were wore out). The rear end sags but I am going to get new springs and a zero rate for that. I can stuff my 33-13.5-15 Rockers in the front fenders and rub on the back of the fender. I have not cut my fenders...yet.

I used to run a 4" BDS lift, when I got some 35x14.5 swampers they rubbed, so I put on a 2" body lift, and it was a little too much for the tires, and then it snowballed and now I have 8" total on 38s lmao. Ride was pretty good, it was rougher than stock Ill give you, but that is going against 18yo springs, and 18yo shocks (by the looks of em anyway).

89 K5 4" Rough country Full spring lift Lift (No blocks... yuk), Foam cell shocks, 33" Pro Comp MT Rides better than my old wore out stock suspention.
Rub with 35? I can rub my 33s when fully flexed out. If it aint hurting your tire or tearing up the body it really is not an issue. You can always break out the Sawsall. Or go 6"

I ran skyjacker 4" front and rear springs, 2" body lift, and 35x12.50x15's, no rub, rode good even though I didn't run shocks in the back, a little bouncy, but hey what can you do hah. :haha:

I am running 4 inch alcans up front and a shackle flip and switch in the rear, on top of 38's. Its pretty bouncy, but taken into consideration the fact that it is leaf sprung and no sway bars it isnt to bad IMO. The zero rate might help, especially if you push the axle forward with it. If not, its nothing a cut off wheel cant fix

I have a cheep set of 4" springs on all for corners, procomp I think, and have 38.5" TSL's. The ride is a little rough but most of that is caused by the TSL's and cheep shocks. With good shocks you can get the ride way better then stock. If you are rubbing with 35's a zero rate (ORD block) will help you will probably still have to trim a little , so unless you are really opposed to trimming fenders just chop them and put the money you don't spend on the zero rates into good shocks

I have Rough Country lift (blocks in the rear). I am running 33's with no fender trimming. I want to go 35's and I know the wheels will be rubbing when I flex it out. I am not able to tell you how the ride was before due to I purchased it with the lift. Although I took the dual shocks off the front and am running singles up front. Since I did that the ride smoothed out a little. I would go 6" lift if I were you and just go 35's.

I also forgot to mention that this a a 90% street truck only flex it ever sees is curb hoppin or some small ditch duty goin to feed the cows....and i really want to steer clear of fender trimmin. thanks for the post fellas keep it comin

I have a Rough Country 4" all spring lift, and it rides as good as it did with the stock springs. I run 35x14.5x16 Boggers, and the rear of the front fender had to be trimmed quite a bit to keep them from rubbing.

I have a Rough Country spring lift. No blocks, with their upgraded shocks - duals up front- and the suspension is a bit better than the wore out stock stuff. My ride quality sucks because i am running super swamper LTBs which are not a radial. Just got back from tellico - no rubbing with my 34x10.50's and no breakage with the stock 10bolts. So if you are mainly going to keep it on the street go with the rough country as it is the cheapest "kit" you are going to find. Good luck.

I've got a 4" Pro comp lift (no blocks)/w ORD zero rate in the rear, pro comp dual shocks up front and rough country in the rear,33" BFG A/T's under it. I used to rub on my front fender when i was totally flexed out :hack: but i took care of that. The ride quality is great! here's a pic err two :D

I got EZ rides in all corners 3in in the front 4in rear, not bad no difference over stock ride, i have quite a bit of trimming and run 37's. good shocks make alot of difference

would a 35/12.50/15 have cleared for everyday drivin?... i noticed you had 14.50's
I used to have that size tire on my truck and at the time I had 4" tuff country ez-rides in the front (no sway bar) 4" ORD shackle flip in the rear with new stock length springs. Also I had the tuff country nitro shocks. I thought the truck rode better than stock and the tires never rubbed for regular street driving.

Offroad though :doah: the front fenders were not trimmed and I ended up putting some nice cuts into my front tires:mad:

My 90 Jimmy has a 4" Tuff Country all spring lift. I run 35X12.50/15 BFG Muds on a 15X8 wheel. Only minor rubbing at full stuff. As a daily driver, I don't getting any rubbing. The ride is a little bouncier than stock.

My 89 K5 with a 6" Superlift all spring lift on 39.5 Iroks actually rides a little smoother.

What lift do you have and what tires and how does it ride compared to the old stock ride? also please specify blocks or springs in rear. and if you have an ez ride type spring or an HD spring.... Also for the guru's if i have slight rub in 35's with 4" then maybe an ORD 1" block will still fit?
Just a tip; it makes a big difference in flex whether or not you have grease-able bushings. I had 2" lift with bonded bushings, 35s. I upgraded to 4" TC EZs and installed greasy bushes. Rubbing all over again.:hack:
