calling all mechanics. how much do you pay for tools?

Im at 280$ a month to snap on, including my box, prob another 150 paid outright for home tools. Work tools total without box, 15,000$, Home tools, with toolboxes, 25,000$. Im Indust. tech for 10+ years ., meaning mechanical, electrical, plumbing, plc programming, welding, fabrication, machining, you name it I do it. Our work only supplies the more high dollar tools, Enerpac porta-power, welders, torch, plasma cutter, mills, lathes.

Luckily my wife understands that I need tools to bring home the paycheck and doesnt give me any crap about spending money on them:D :D

Plus what she dont know cant hurt me:D

How many of you have your tools, at work and home on your homeowners insurance? My insurance guy thought I was kidding when I told him I needed $60,000 in coverage, just for tools.:haha: Then I started adding it up for him and his jaw dropped. Some people have no Idea.

Im at a puny 3k or so, of course I am also a college student and just turned 21. When I get my PT degree, my tool chest will grow immensely because by then I will be able to afford all the serious tools. But I have the basics for now.
