Cam broke, new cam opinions?

Had a backfire-sheared a gear off of the distributor and one off of the cam. I had a Crane ZCam 218/230. Am looking for a better 1/8 mile. I am considering going to a bigger cam, like 230/230. I would like a more agressive idle, but the 1/8 mile time is king-it has to be faster with a bigger cam to be worthwhile. Here are the numbers, pls opine.

76 K5 2WD, Best 1/8 mile 9.7 on street tires

Performer Heads
Thunder AVS 650 Carb
Performer RPM Intake
4.11 Posi
700R4, 2500 Stall

I'm running the CompCam 280H in my 350. Couldn't be happier.

after you get the cam sorted out do some chassis work and get it to hook. You should have lower 1/8 times than that with that much of a motor.
