Yup, attached pix are only viewable by paid members.

Those linked from external sites are still visible.

But after 15 posts then we can post images linked from other websites, correct?

I used the patterns found online of the cucv camo and copied it. Just grabbed some spray cans and started painting. No need to tape it off. Once you start laying the paint down you will figure it out.

FYI the flat black used in CARC can be easily duplicated by anybody's regular flat black. No need to pay what RAPCO wants for the flat black they sell. Their CARC green and CARC brown is pretty good though.

Well I'm not making to much progress this week. Been doing side jobs and getting ready to go fishing this weekend, however next week i'm going to get it street legal for the first time since early 06. Next weekend I have that hunters safety course to take, but after that its on. With it being legal I can drive it up to the shop and use my bosses da sander instead of my electic sander. I should be able to really get this paint job going.

Looks good I wish I was that far along with mine I have my front clip just about done and one door? How did you prep your grill and bezels. Do you think its going to last? I thought about seein how much someone would charge to sand blast em for me. I have seen alot of trucks were the paint is just peeling off of the plastic.

I just need a few mor post then I can start addind pics. I did get insurance put on my Blazer today. Tomorrow I having it towed to a boddys he is going to install the tranny for me, then I hope to get it regsitered and inpected. Hope to be driving by next week.

I'm not sure how it will hold up? I used a gray scotch brite pad and then primed them with plastic primer and then black. We'll see how it holds up after hunting season.

Yeah you will have to let me know. Heres what I started with. When it gets back from having the tranny installed I will put up some pics of my progress.

This is what it looked like before putting it back together. I was trying to change the oil, nah the front clip was shoot and it made the engine swap vary easy.

Looking better.

Here are some pics of my last truck. I used "Hunter Specialties" and Krylon paint. Straight out of the can, I might have wiped off some of the dirt.
I used the pattern posted above. There is a website where the patterns came from that also has colors listed for different terrains and explains that they were scientifically developed.
Right after it was painted.

At the end of the year.

Kinda like that.

Look up the old French Legionare camo pattern from the 60's-70's. Kinda tigerstripish.
