I was thinking about camoflauging or tiger striping my K5. Does anyone out there have any pics to show? Are there any disadvantages to doing this? I can't think of any. Thanks

i was thinking about blue body with Zebra top and fender flares and hood scoop....

1974 Chevy Blazer Cheyanne. lots of plans for it....
but it is on 33's now, with saggy old springs. i am in so cali if ya got any parts for me.

Advantage: Your paint job can cost you only $40 in sandable primer from Pep Boys (also available from Walmart and other fine stores)

Advantage: If you scratch it, it's cheap and easy to fix

Advantage: When wheeling you don't care what happens

Advantage: It just looks cool

Advantage: Cute guys (or for you girls) like to pull up by you and check out your ride!

Advantage: If you get tired of that look, another $40 and you have another

Disadvantage: It's not all shiney

Disadvantage: You might get pulled over more since you now stick out more

Disadvantage: The white primer tends to discolor so you have keep respraying it.

Hi Everyone, I used to have a camo paint job, (loved it.) The cops didn't. Got pulled over all the time, just to "get checked out." Told them I had a restrored military. Only disadvantage that I can see. GOPHERKILLER

I have "junkyard camo" -

It blends right into the rusty jungle

'85 Blazer... 9" lift... 35-12.50 BFG AT's...LOTS of rust

I had a Bronco that was desert tan . It was a great I could go for months wirhout washing it. The dirter it got the better it blended in, kind of like natural camo. It was also very easy to hide out in the sagebrush when hunting.
There are a few camoed rigs around my town I think they look pretty cool. I told my wife the K5 would look good camoed. She was horrified.(she drives it a lot) Even when I told her I would clear coat it with nice shiny laquer so she would blend in with all the other Moms at the school. She said I was nuts! I cant believe it. The things I have to go through to please my woman!
I guess I'm going to have to buy my wife a new car so I can have my Blazer back.(If she'll give it up)
But to tell you the truth I have been looking for a Ricer I can camo

I went with straight OD green when rebuilding my truck, easy to touch up and I can always turn it into woodland camo later.

I thought about the tiger striped theme too but it looks pretty ugly really. You dont really fit in anywhere that way...I'm going Desert camo. In the original army 4 color pattern. Rocko sent me some links. Do a search, I think my post was something like "paint options for a trail truck". And good luck to you!

HOLY CRAP!!!!! You know, I never really liked the whole camo idea-thought it was sort of ugly and corny and sort of a redneck thing to do, but I've been reading all the posts lately about it and it got me more and more stoked on the idea..there is this Blazer around town that has an awsome desert camo job looks really cool! has tan and black with some white and grey..looks rad!!...Then I saw Steph's rig and now I'm really stoked!!...thats what I've been thinking of-something just like that!! I love it! It looks sweet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...hmmmm.....I might just have to steal your idea Steph... :o)
