I want to go fuel injection, however with the cost of a Fuel Injection Kit and may need another engine. I might use a 454 Tbi that's already injected.

Yes. That harness swap is about the hardest part.

You can buy stand alone harnesses. I used a Howell harness in one build. No issues.

And you'd need the fuel pump and ideally the fuel tank for the TBI setup.

Performance Fuel Injection Systems have nice harness’s and are reasonable.

Buy a standalone fuel injection kit. Then they do make standalone transmission control modules too for between $300-600 depending on what you want it to do.
