Can I fit a 92 front bumper on my 90 Blazer?

I found a nice front bumper which has cut-outs for integrated driving/fog lights which I would like to purchase. However the bumper is for 92 and newer trucks. How hard would it be to get that to fit? I'm not beyond welding if needed.... :)

I should re-phrase that - is it the same dimensions to wrap around the front of the body, and has the same height/width/depth/contours as the 90 bumper? I want to be sure it will look right, not some frankenstein abomination that looks like I took it off a Toyota..

The reason why I ask is because the new one has a nice fog light setup built into the bumper (instead of mounting lights on top of the bumper or the roof) with the holes for the lights and mounting pre-cut. The last time I tried to cut a bumper I gave up after a few minutes as I found it was nearly impossible, so I doubt I could cut nicely finished holes in my existing bumper.

Unless you have suggestions on how to cut holes large enough to accomodate lights in my existing bumper? :D

In a word: no. The front of the 73-87 (91) body style GM's were relatively flat, whereas the front of the 88-98 trucks were more pointed. And the newer trucks are also narrower. It would be a lot of work, but you'd be money and time ahead finding an old body style bumper and cutting holes for the lights.

That's a bummer, but thanks for letting me know.

So ... how does one cut holes in a bumper? :D

That's not quite what I want to do. I've already located replacement low and high beam headlights. I also want to add aftermarket 2-in-1 fog/driving lights, but I don't want to mount them above or below the bumpers (to prevent off-road damage or theft) and would prefer a "clean looking" install flush within the bumper. So in that regard, there's nothing from the 92 I want except this aftermarket bumper I found with holes already cut for the fog/driving light combo I found.

Cut holes in your existing bumper with a die grinder with a cut off wheel. Cuts real quick and will make as straight a cut as you can hold it.

to add to this, you could then go to a big-rig parts place (often napa will carry this stuff) and get light gaskets to cover up your actual cut to make it look real clean.

I've never seen one of those, but they are pretty cheap! I found one for $20, and up to $100, both of which are FAR less expensive than a new bumper ... and a welder. I'll have to check that out, THANKS!
