My '85 Suburban heater blower runs on "low" when the switch says "off"--I think all 73-87's were wired that way....I snipped the low speed wire off my other trucks heater blower at the resistor so when you switched it off,it was OFF!..
Perhaps by putting power to the window circuit it back feeds the fuse box and makes the blower run,but chances are good something ELSE is now "on" too...to find out what,you'll have to take off a battery cable,and put a test light between the disconnected cable and the battery terminal,if something is drawing juice it will make the lamp light up--then by pulling fuses or unplugging suspected items that might be getting energized,the lamp will go out when you unplug the fuse or item thats doing the draining...
