I know you can use blocks to lift the rear, but can you also use blocks to lift the front of the truck? i've never seen it done but i can't think of why it wouldn't work.
i just need something temporary till i get the money for new springs

No you cant. When you turn it can snap u bolts or break blocks and have a big accident

Yeah lift blocks in the front is a really bad idea. There's several reasons it's not smart... one would be you hit a bump hard enough driving, out they can fly. Then you can end up really messing up your truck, yourself and maybe even someone on the road with you......

ok thanks i got the idea.
now is there any difference between front and rear springs?

You already got the idea about front blocks but I gotta add ***NO!!!***

Front springs and rear are different and they are not interchangeable without fabrication.

How high are you going? ORD has 1" zero-rate-add-a-leafs that bolt to the spring pack and are ok for the front.

There are many differences between front and rear.....

Want a cheap lift?

Get a set of JC Whitney add-a-leaves. Add a set of 3" rear lift blocks. It's a 2.5-3" lift and costs $70. I wish I still had tha and had bought 33s sometimes instead of a 4" and 35s.

I use 2" traction bars up front with An RMX shock mounted on each one I still flex a 950 on a 30degree ramp have dropped the front end off a cliff into a 5foot hole nothing wrong I have welde plates to my home made traction bars that run between the u-bolts and against the sides of the springs It has run this way for two years on m rig and for 18 years onmy buddys truck and he has wheeled th sh!# out of it. I have learned it the world of wheeling that it is all aboout safety and your own judgement.

If all you want to run is 33s look into a set of 2in springs. You can use an add-a-leaf in the back and 2in springs wont need any other changes.

NO I dont have any pics yet but the most important thing for max flexis soft and flat spring packs. I have a shackle flip in the rear which i fabbed up myself giving me about 7.5" if lift 5 inch block/tractionbar which is connected to fram by way of a shock to keep axle wrap down in the front I have dropped my frnt spring hangers down 5" longer shackles 6" lift springs off of a 68'chevy with top leave removed and stock leaves added to the top and also have a traction bar up front.
