I have extra pair of doors. Can I use the hinges and clasp or whatever it's called to make tube doors?

Thin wall hrew tube would be fine correct?

i've seen your doors, or some very similar posted on here several times, and they still look freaking cool. gives you the open feel of tube doors, without having all your stuff roll out of the truck. nice.

It probably helps keep the mud out also

yeah, that's the only reason i haven't gone tube door yet. i like mud, but i don't like it in my stereo :doah:, so i sometimes roll the windows up before a huge puddle.

Sorry to hijack the thread, but has anyone done this with quick change hinges like what jeep uses? I want tube doors for summer, but full doors for winter or rainy season. Right now, I'm just going to cut the bottom flange and drill the hinge pin for a cotter to keep it from falling off over bumps. Think it'll work?

that's one of the best looking doors ive seen. to the bars go all the way through and do you have a build thread for these. i might have to steal your design.

if you are only swapping them twice a year its not that hard to just bolt them on.

I want to do something very similar to Muddytazz's doors some day. I even have an extra pair of doors already. The only thing I would change is slightly more tube and less original door, but I love the concept!

Looks like I'll be making them

I have access to a tube bender. I think I can get away with .80 wall hrew and that should be very easy to bend. I don't know if it comes any thinner. I don't want exhaust tubing doors lol

I couldn't get the door open again today
