i'm having some serious trouble getting my tcase fill plug off. So i'm wondering what would happen if i ran my truck with a dry tcase. not permenantly, just for the time being.

which t-case? not that it matters much, but if its all gear inside, metal on metal will heat up fast, and brake parts

how is it giving you trouble ?? Don't run it with out fluid . If you need help with it there are a few members in your area so shoot us an email and maybe we can help .

Maybe a socket and a breaker bar will get it off . It is an odd size , may need to buy the socket . worth it though .

yeah i'm gonna go buy the 1 3/16 socket today. i have headr the pipe wrench idea a few times now, and i don't think i've ever heard of a pipe wrench. what is that? thanks for the unanimous info!

i am going to go against the flow...Yes yo can run your t case without fluid... on that note It will not last very long:p:
