Can someone explain what both a stall converter is, how it works as well as what should be used for a dd, mud runner, and light rock. and could you explain how what and when to use a rev limiter. Thanx
I would get a stall that is just slightly higher than stock if you do more mudruning if you do more rockcrawling go with a stock one higher stall speed also creates more heat so put a tranny cooler on
rev limmiter is like preventive maintanance. If something in your drive train breaks while you are hard on the throttle (ie: short drive shaft on a divorced set up, or a dry-coupler) It can keep a bad day from getting much worse.
Ok I guess that I will not need a stall converter seeing how I will be using a NV4500. Now about the rev limiter what would be a good limit. again be use as above. Is it in the distributor or somewhere else in the engine?
