I've got a sbc and I pulled the numbers from behind the water pump (block front, flat location). I not good with vin and serial translation.

Could someone tell me what this motor is. Thanks

I googled it!

"CKD" shows up as a 74 350,California Emission,Automatic tranny on a camro website I found on Google...probably a camaro motor,or at least a car engine--"C" usually means car--truck motor codes usually begin with a "T" like "TDR" or something similar...it didnt specify 2 or 4 bolt mains--the only sure way is to pull the pan--there are sites that list casting # and say whether its 2 or 4 bolt, but I trust my eyes more than any "codes" or casting #s..

Mortec only does casting #'s??

I looked on Mortec, but they only listed the casting numbers on the rear bellhousing area as far as I could tell..didn't see and "CKD" type codes there, unless I looked in the wrong place .. ? .. I have some old Chiltons and other books that list most of the 70's years codes on GM's..

if you're looking for displacement only, and alot of times 2 or 4 bolt main, you got the wrong numbers. www.mortec.com and the number on the belhousing will tell you what it is.
