Can this truck pull a 5th wheel camper?

i wish to formally withdraw input from this thread on the grounds of:

1) buying things on impulse when you haven't thought things thru. I.e., getting a trailer too heavy to be towed with anything you presently have AND don't really have the money for it in the first place is maybe not the most intelligent thing to do.

2) Buying a truck (also on impulse apparently) that WON'T tow the trailer, also maybe not the most intelligent move. All this money spent and you still now have a combo that won't work....

3) Continuing to support/encourage a friend who does the above to keep doing the same, maybe not in either of your best interests.

Well, I do apreciate the info so far but, let's be clear.... I've only known him a month, I was recommended by a family member to get his truck running properly (which I did and am still going through it when I have the time). He bought all this stuff before I met him. Had I known him 8 months ago I could've discussed his plan to help him think it through. I'm not encouraging anything, my only experience with towing has been a car trailer and a 2004 3/4 ton Chevy. I know absolutely squat about campers, which is why I came here and asked. Now I know the camper is too big for this old truck, I've already given him the bad news. He made his choices, now he has to deal with them.
