Can you replace the seatbelt in a 2005? link to pic inside

yes. if they're part of the seat, you just pull the covers off the seat, unbolt the retractor and replace. it's not that hard, actually.

Hmmm the covers don't just pull off they are glued on to the seat backs.
I have the part # 88956018 but the guy at the chevy dealer didn't have a clue either, no suprise there.

Anybody have any ideas? Has anyone done anything like this before? links? Anything??

Oh big help you douche.:D:waytogo:

No, no side air bags, I'm not sure I want to tear into it, I don't know that ,thats the correct way to fix the problem and I'd hate to rip the thing apart to find out that still won't get the seatbelt lose.

The retractor is unbolted from the seat back and I can't see how the retractor comes apart to slip a new belt into it because the buckle won't come off the other end. The retractor says "CAUTION DO NOT REMOVE" all over it, so I'm thinking if I were to pry it apart I'd have springs going everywhere.
I just don't see how the whole assembly comes out whether I tear the seat cover off or not.:dunno:

wait, you want to replace the belt without the retractor? Crazy fumes... The seatcovers are a tight fit, but they should be velcro'd down, not glued. I'll call a customer that's a chevy tech in the AM and ask for ya.

Yep velcro'd on, just talked to a serviced guy and he refused to give me any details just said it was a bitch and it'd cost 165 for labor. So I said I don't get it the covers are glued onto the foam and he said it was a hook typ deal that was a PITA. Yes, velcro is very dificult to master.:haha:
I thought before I was ripping the sh!t outta the seat. So right no I have the cover up over the assembly, now I just need to find a new one for less than 100 bucks. **** thanks guys, I was starting to get pissed, my whole day has been a giant vaccuum of suck and this is the first second I have caught a break.:doah:

Cool, the only thing I had to do was peel the cardboard backing away from the side foam so the whole thing will slip into place, then I can just hit it with some 3m to glue it back on.
I'm getting bored playing with guns, I think I'll start tinkering with the Blazer again.:haha:Now that I have to.:D
