'88 K5 - Running Down A Dream

Ground up restoration of my '88 K5. The plan is to go through every inch of the truck and fix or replace pretty much everything that needs it. This will also be a full vert conversion and I plan to make the vehicle look more like a 73-75 than 88.
Almost got it all tacked in. All I lack is the cross bar. My stainless bolt spacers came in for the rear plates, you'll see those pictures too.

I needed a break from the cage so I took the windshield out and of course found rust. I think the driver side will not need any work. However, the passenger side will need a patch. Fortunately, I kept a piece @kennyw sent me 3yrs ago and I have the patch.

Rust sucks, nice Pintails though!

Thanks! A friend of mine in Wisconsin got those and some other G&H super Magnums. Everybody keeps going with new stuff on the public land where we hunt and I decided to go with fewer decoys but go with those giant super mags. We used to run about 300 or 400 decoys, now we can get away with 150 or so and still have the same amount of visibility. So far I've been impressed with the spread I've amassed. The fun part is I get to paint and foam fill with marine foam some of them myself. I'm pretty much convinced that new decoys are all marketing because ducks are not that smart. I painted this one in the picture using mostly spray paint in a little bit brush on paint. All Rust-Oleum.
