Can't Decide TBI - TPI - MPFI

Have you had time to make anymore progress on this project?

I've been detoured to working on a couple of '427 PCM upgrades. I've also been working on a TPI project for a classic chevy. I have to offset my EFI hobby expenses with a few extra $$$ working on other EFI projects.:doah:

Oh yes I know about working on/building other peoples stuff so that you have some $$ to work on your own. That's a nice looking '55. That TPI should make it a nice driver.

I've been quietly following this thread in hopes of expanding my EFI knowledge.

Bringing this tread back to the top. I had some progress today. The engine is running, but without a radiator I've only run the engine for about a minute. Here are today's pic's.

The budget is kind of tight right now for the MPFI project. I took several low cost options to get the engine running. I'm using a 454 TBI. I will add a better intake system with a K&N Air Filter. I am using a CS series alternator from an early 90 Corvette. I had to make do with some used O2 sensors. The engine is a just a rebuildable core, complete with a rod knock. I don't know if the engine will to be able to hold 5000 RPM's for the crank position sensor learn?
