Anyone have pictures of early gmt400 buckets and rear bench in their square? I need new seats, and factory seats seem difficult to find, much less seats worth a damn.

I figured my next best bet would be seats from an early OBS extended cab/suburban, and I just want to see how they look/fit.

00-07 front + Tahoe 3rd row seats are a semi popular swap for Blazers. Most people fab their own brackets but there’s a couple of companies that make some (IMO) really over priced brackets.

I like the classic look of the early GMT400 stuff, plus they’re probably my favorite seats i’ve sat on, so i’m partial to those.

If I find a set of 800 Tahoe seats at a steal I’ll think about it, but I can get a full set of the 400 at a pull yard near me for decent prices.

I recently got a M1009 that had GMT 400 front buckets installed. Here is a video about the truck running that show the seats pretty good. They just drilled new holes in the floor. With a flat floor, it is super easy. I have since this video actually moved the seats around a little and used the stock threaded bolt holes to mount them. I had to enlarge the holes in the seat frames to make that work. They will tilt forward, but it really isn’t enough room for an adult to fit through without moving the seat forward as well:

Between the stock M1009 buckets, my Suburban with the Captain chairs and now the GMT 400 buckets. The GMT seats to me are the most comfortable of the choices. I have only done 1 drive more than 10 minutes though due to mechanical issues still being discovered and worked out.

awesome, thank you. My plan is to get seats from a 94 or earlier extended cab, since they don’t have a third door so the seats fold forward a good bit. It’s good to know that the seat frame bolt holes line up with the original floor holes as well. Thank you.

They almost line up. I enlarged the front holes on the GMT 400 seats to make them reach threaded bolt holes in the floor. I’m still trying to find the correct for me left to right alignment. Me centered on the steering wheel and my arms on the door arm rest along with the fold down arm rest. Measured center doesn’t feel right is why I am still messing with it.

My problem is the GMT400 seats that I have are all falling apart.
Here in CA the leather seats crack too quick.
If you can find decent condition seats I would go with them.
I like the fit.
I have had 5 GMT400 trucks and all had them torn.
Coincidentally my 84 and 89 square that had velour seats are still in good shape
